Parent Expectations and Code of Conduct

By having a child in the Confer Baseball program, Parents agree to the following code of conduct. We rely on parents to create a respectful, fair, and healthy environment for players, coaches, fans, and administration.

Parents must agree to these terms prior to the start of the year, before their child steps on the field for the first day of practice. Parents can agree to these terms here.

  1. Conifer is committed to creating a positive atmosphere at games and practices. I will help foster this environment by maintaining positive dialogue with all participants and fans at all practices and games.
  2. I commit to keeping negative opinions about coaching staff, players, umpiring crews, and opposing fans to myself.
  3. I will complete my obligations for volunteering as designated by the head coach, administration, and Baseball boosters.
  4. I will pay all team/program fees and expenses on time and without inconvenience.
  5. I will maintain control of my emotions during all Conifer events I attend.
  6. I will refrain from using obscene, profane, or abusive language while attending team activities.
  7. The use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco is strictly prohibited on all team sites.
  8. I commit to refraining from this activity while attending all team events.
  9. I understand that volunteering my time or donating money to the Conifer Baseball program in no way improves my son’s chances at playing time or starting lineup status.
  10. I commit to resolving issues through the designated process outlined by the Conifer administration and coaching staff
  11. I agree to abide by the Conifer Communication Policy:
    • Players are expected to respectfully address coaches with concerns
    • If concerns cannot be resolved between players/coaches, parents should respectfully set an appointment with coaches to discuss issues
    • If the situation continues to be a concern, the issue should be brought to the Athletic Director in collaboration with the Head Coach
    • Parents may not engage coaches before, during or after games.  They must wait 12 hrs. to address coaches after each game.
    • I will keep any outstanding problems or issues private until resolution by coaching staff/administration

  12. During practice/games, parents will not offer coaching or criticism to any players on the field
  13. Parents will not criticize umpires, trainers, school administrators, or other designated personnel during Conifer games.Parents must agree to these terms
