Communication Information and Policies

The Jefferson County School District has implemented new policies for coach –> player communication. Here are the rules, and also the Apps you should download for in-season communication:

  • Players may not communicate directly with a coach, 1:1 via text messages or social media direct messaging capabilities
  • Players using text messages (SMS) must include at least 2 adults on a text thread
  • Coaches are never allowed to interact with players via social media
  • The SportsYou app is the only approve platform for messaging players directly (more below)

New email cadence

The Conifer Baseball Community has spoken and we are listening! In years past it has been hard to find relevant information on practice times, game reschedules, and pertinent information. So this year we will be sending out one email per week. Look for the email in your inbox – with all the newest information and happenings – on Sunday nights.

New Apps

SportsYou. This is now the district-approved communication app. We will add you to the roster of players once you’ve registered for spring baseball. Then, after players are assigned to teams, we’ll create subgroups in SportsYou for Varsity, JV, L3 etc. Download the app now to and wait for more information

Arbiter. rSchool is no longer in use by the Jeffco school district for game scheduling, umpire assigning, and game status. This year, games will be added to Arbiter instead. Download the arbiter app to stay current on game reschedules, cancellations, and postponements as soon as they’re made public

Conifer Communication Policy

Communication & Accountability

As part of our commitment to preparing players for life after high school, we expect all players and families to follow the Conifer Communication Policy.

Clear, respectful communication helps young athletes learn how to advocate for themselves, navigate conflict productively, and solve problems the right way—skills they’ll need in college, careers, and relationships.

Conifer Communication Policy

All players must agree to abide by the following communication expectations:

  1. Player-First Communication
Players are expected to respectfully address coaches directly with questions or concerns. Learning to communicate with authority figures is a critical life skill, and we encourage athletes to take ownership of their experience.
  2. Parent Involvement When Needed
If a concern cannot be resolved between the player and coach, parents should respectfully request an appointment with the coaching staff to discuss the issue.
  3. Collaborative Problem-Solving
Our goal at every step is constructive dialogue and resolution. Concerns should be approached with openness, respect, and a shared commitment to the player’s growth.
  4. Administrative Support
If a situation continues to be a concern after meeting with coaches, the issue may be brought to the Athletic Director in collaboration with the Head Coach.
